Anmerkungen zur Ikonographie des Titelblatts der Goldenen Bulle, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek cod. 338
The article deals with the title page of the Golden Bull, which represents one of the highlights of illuminated manuscripts in the time of Wenceslas IV. Since masters of both the older and younger generation of court illuminators took part in its decoration, the codex can be interpreted as an important stylistic bridge between Wenceslas's bible the Antwerp bible. The author also touches upon iconography of the Golden Bull's edge decoration, the significance of which she explains in terms of Wenceslas's royal ideology.
