Meziválečná architektura v Hranicích
The author's report discusses inter-war architecture in Hranice. Several buildings were built - primarily in the 1930s - which played an important role in the context of Czech inter-war architecture. Aside from Kotěra's student Karel Caivas, whose work in Hranice has a certain unity, these are examples of the individual initiatives of primarily Brno architects. Baťa's Beseda building brings an example of the Zlín skeleton structures into the city. Architects from Ostrava, Olomouc, Prague or Hranice itself - from which the only artist to attain high quality was Alois Jambora - design for buyers from the ranks of local entrepreneurs.
