Die ikonologische Interpretation der Glatzer Madonnentafel
The panel painting of the Kłodzko Madonna from the portrait gallery in Berlin-Dahlen was created between 1344 and 1350. Arnošt from Pardubice is portrayed with a pallium, which vouches for a dating after 1344. Along with Suckale's and Chytil's older interpretations of the painting, the article also introduces other important sources for the painting's iconographic interpretation. The author considers the interpretation of the Virgin Mary as Solomon's throne in the so-called Mariale Arnesti an inspiring source as well as the miraculous vision of Arnošt from Pardubice, mentioned in the Vita Venerabilis Arnesti… of Wilhelm from Hasenburg.
