Jiří Padrta wrote this text in 1968 as an epilogue to the Czech collection of Guillaume Apollinaire's essays, to be published by Odeon publishers. The book, however, was published only six years later with an epilogue by Luboš Hlaváček. Hence, Padrta's text was never published.
