Názory Girolama Savonaroly na výtvarné dílo a jejich vztah k české reformaci
In this comprehensive study, the author reveals the connection of the Czech Reformist environment to the Florentian preacher Girolamo Savonarola. His critical views spread mostly among the Utraquist and the Czech brethren, which were also strongly influenced by his personal example. What's more, Savonarola's popularity was heightened by his violent death, which was compared with the martyrdom of John Huss. The article touches upon all of the significant influences of Savonarola's thinking on the Czech Reformation of the 15th and 16th centuries, with emphasis on his reflections on the meaning, status and characteristics of works of art.
