This essay by the eminent representative of the Vienna school of art history, Alois Riegl, titled 'Mood as the Content of Modern Art', was published in the journal Graphische Künste in 1899. Now it appears for the first time in a Czech translation by Miroslav Petříček, with a preface by Ivo Hlobil.
