Beiträge zur Kenntnis der böhmischen Hofkunst des 13. Jahrhunderts
The study deals with the relationship between Czech art of the 13th century and Central European art. It rejects the thesis that the Czech Lands were lagging behind in terms of style development and proves that Bohemia was not an isolated and more or less independent area at that time. This is proved by the openness of the ruling Přemyslite dynasty towards neighbouring states. Hence, the author argues that it is necessary to understand Czech art of the 13th century as more courtly and international.
