Soutěž na pomník Jana Žižky na Vítkově v roce 1913

In 1913, a competition was announced for a monument to Jan Žižka on Vítkov Hill in Prague. The article treats the circumstances in which it was announced and the requirements made of the designs. It describes the most interesting designs, as well as the debate that followed upon the announcement of the results. The author reveals the reasons why the jury did not recommend the construction of any of the designs and the entire competition ended in failure.
