Jan Randáček
Liberecká architektura 1895-1938
The report maps out the development of Liberec architecture during the span of 1895-1938 in a wider context. Through the documented buildings, the author shows that Liberec architecture of that given period did not cross regional borders in its significance. The exceptions were several works designed by architects from outside of Liberec. Among these were two important buildings of the 1930s: the Baťa department store by Vladimír Karfík and the Jiskra department store by Jan Gillar.
