Malíř Alfred Justitz a Kramářovy akvizice starého umění v letech 1923-1924

Aside from the preserved correspondence between Vincenc Kramář and the painter Alfred Justitz from 1923-24, the article reprints Kramář's letter to the Ministry of Education and National Culture, in which he explains his strategy of the state purchase of artistic works. At the time, Kramář stood at the forefront of the Society of Patriotic Friends of the Arts, for which he obtained new acquisitions. He thus kept up contacts not only with the foremost commercial galleries and antique stores abroad but also with art historians and artists themselves. Proof of mutual co-operation on enlarging the collection is the published correspondence with Justitz.
