Die Wenzelsstatue mit Peter Parlers Zeichen im Veitsdom
The article is devoted to the most famous of Parler's works: the statue of St. Wenceslas in the Prague cathedral, which is the subject of ongoing controversy in art historical literature. The author summarizes the opinions on the location, dating and authorship of the statute that have emerged thus far and himself proposes that the work originated in 1373 and was originally placed in a unique tabernacle of the buttress above the St Wenceslas chapel. He attributes the statue to Peter Parler.
