Neznámé kresby Agostina Ciampelliho v olomoucké sbírce
In the archive of the Státní vědecká knihovna (State Research Library) in Olomouc, there is a collection of 60 pages of drawings by Agostino Ciampelli (1565-1630). It is made up almost exclusively of figurative studies and motifs which are connected with the artist's monumental body of work. The largest section is taken up by drawings connected with the decoration of the chapel of St Andrew in the Jesuit church of Il Gesu, which the artist completed around 1601. The other drawings are associated with Ciampelli's other works in Rome and Florence (St Giovanni in Laterno, St Vitale, St Maria in Trastevere, St Agnese Fuori le Mura, Casa Buonarroti, St Bibiana).
