Ein cartoncino in der Prager Nationalgalerie für Federico Baroccis Martyrium des hl. Vitalis. Zuschreibung und Provenienz

The article treats a drawing, as yet unpublished, in the collection of the Prague National Gallery. On the theme of the martyrdom of St Vitale, it has been regarded as a copy after Federico Barocci. The author's analysis of the work concludes that it is not a copy but a cartoncino drawn by Barocci himself. The origin of the work is explicated in light of further information.
