K surrealistické estetice ruin. Textuální a vizuální fragmenty Jindřicha Štyrského k biografii markýze de Sade

In the 1930s Štyrský wrote several texts dealing with the controversial personality of marquis de Sade. The fragmentary character of the studies was in accord with Štyrský's surrealist aesthetics, in which ruins played an important role. With the help of Benjamin's concept of the aura, the author seeks to associate Štyrský's photographs of the ruins of the La Coste chateau more closely with his textual fragments of de Sade's biography.
