Jindřicha Vybíral's article discusses the architecture of the psychiatric clinic in Kroměříž, in the building of which (between 1905-1908) Hubert Gessner, a student of Otto Wagner, played a significant part. The spacious structure stands out for its strict rational arrangement of individual structures and exclusion of excessive decorative elements. Almost everything is subordinate to functional and structural demands. The system of clinics, divided into several pavilions, thus allows for internal differentiation of patients according to social criteria.
