Die neue Datierung der gotischen Wandmalereien in der St.Thomas Kirche in Prag

In the first part of this article, Pavel R. Pokorný newly identifies the figure of the kneeling donator in the painting in the sacristy of the Augustinian Church of Saint Thomas as the bishop of Litomyšl, Petr (known as Jelito), thereby eliminating what was previously assumed to be the date of the paintings' creation - 1353 - and dates the paintings to 1370, when a connection between Bishop Petr with the Augustinian monastery can be made. In the second half of the article, Zuzana Všetečková focuses on the analysis of these paintings and discusses their influences, similarities and analogies.
