Achim Timmermann
Two Parlerian Sacrament Houses and Their Microarchitectural Context
The study offers a detailed analysis of the tabernacle in the Church of St. Bartholomew in Kolín nad Labem (1360-1378) and the tabernacle in the church of St Sebald in Nuremberg (1361-1379). The author places both of these significantly dissimilar works, which originated in the artistic environment of Peter Parler and his circle, in a wider Central European context. Later artistic reactions concerned, according to him, primarily the Kolín sanctuary with a polygonal base.
