The Polish-French Art Critic Waldemar George on Cubism
Waldemar George was one of the foremost art critics of the first half of the 20th century. The article treats his interpretation of cubism and the avant-garde, as compared with that of other important theorists (Maurice Raynal, Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler). It also looks at the gradual change in George's views at the end of the 1920s, when he turned away from the avant-garde and favoured more realistic forms of art.
