Die Wurzeln des Lorbeers: Anfänge und Quellen des architektonischen Schaffens von Joseph Maria Olbrich
This study deals with the beginnings of the work of Josef Maria Olbrich, the architect of a famous exhibition pavilion of the Viennese Art Nouveau. It monitors works that the artist planned for his native town of Opava and its surroundings, where he spent more than half of his life. These include a project of the church in Melč, a design of the arts and crafts museum, of the Niedermeyer cafe, and of the front of his brother's house.
