Ikonoklasmus českého středověku a jeho limity
The study focuses on the essentials of Czech mediaeval iconoclasm, which peaked during the hussite era. It shows that the older interpretation of iconoclasm through the teachings of Matthew of Genova and his disciples is misleading, because the writings of these reformers in fact only repeat the ideas of the church forefathers. The chief part of the study deals with the problem of a destruction of works of art, especially by the hussites whose role has been considerably overvalued in the literature written so far.
