Markéta Večeřáková
Změny liturgického prostoru v pražské meziválečné architektuře
Even though changes in the liturgical space are connected with the ruling of the Second Vatican Council, preliminary steps toward this transformation are already visible in the second half of the 19th century and culminate at the beginning of the 20th century with the conflicts between clerical modernism and traditionalism. Markéta Večeřáková's study interprets Prague inter-war sacral architecture in the wider context of cultural and social events. Aside from Roman Catholic churches, among the most dominant of which is Plečnik's Church of the Most Holy Heart of Our Lord in Vinohrady or Gočár's church of St Wenceslas in Vršovice, Večeřáková concentrates on the spaces of the Czechoslovak Church and the Church of the Czech Bretheren.
