Barokní donátorské a zakladatelské scény v cisterciáckých klášterech v Čechách a na Moravě
In the iconography of Baroque art, benefactor and founder scenes, oscillating between secular and religious depictions, have a special place. Their theme is either the handing over of the relevant deeds by the founder or benefactor to the monks, or a particular legendary event. The article traces the role of these scenes in specific examples in Bohemian and Moravian Cistercian monasteries (Osek, Plasy, Zbraslav, Sedlec). It also examines the circumstances in which they were made, their importance, typology and iconography.
