Vojtěch Lahoda
Alchymista a kouzelník. Josef Sudek a Emil Filla
The article treats the creative dialogue between the photographer Josef Sudek and the painter Emil Filla. Contacts between the artists began in the 1920s and continued until the end of Filla's life in 1953. The text analyses the creative principles that Filla pursued in his work, as these are manifest in Sudek's photographs (the cycle from St Vitus Cathedral, still lifes, landscapes of the České středohoří, Glass Labyrinths), thereby outlining in greater detail the relationship between the artists.
