The author focuses on construction modifications of the tower of St Vitus Cathedral, designed by Josef Mocker and then taken further by Kamil Hilbert who made some changes against the original plan. For the first time ever, the author publishes several designs by Mocker that have been preserved. The projects enable a more detailed art-historical analysis of his steps which have been, up to now, perceived mostly in a negative way.
