This study aims at describing precisely the partial stages of the construction of St Vitus Cathedral's tower by monitoring stonemasons' marks. Among other things, it shows that the oldest southeast supporting column must have been built before 1368 and that the current height of the stone walls corresponds to the situation from 1419, when work on the cathedral was suspended.
